Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival, Sydhavsøernes Frugtfestival, on September 14-15, 2024, is Denmark’s largest fruit festival, bustling and brimming with fresh and sustainable fruits, ambitious growers, and skilled producers. They come together in a community that cultivates climate-friendly and high-quality food to the benefit and delight of consumers.
This year marks the 16th time that Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival is held. Every year on the third weekend of September, the festival welcomes up to 25.000 visitors to a wide range of fruit experiences that appeal to all the senses and meet consumer needs and desires. For many, Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival is a tradition where people embrace community and passion for fresh fruit at around 60 stalls that are open for visitors. Additionally, you can gain new knowledge and inspiration through workshops, as well as enjoy numerous competitions. There are experiences for the whole family.
Danish fruit with a focus on sustainability
Danish fruit is world-class, whether it comes straight from the tree or has been transformed and refined into juice, jam, wine, or sweet treats. At Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival, you can meet fruit growers and processors from across the country and the Femern Region, hear their stories about fruit growing through generations, or learn about the passion behind the delicious products.
Furthermore, Danish fruit is a sustainable ingredient for lunchboxes, snacks, or dinner tables. Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival, therefore, aims to raise the awareness of the sustainability of Danish fruit, which can be enjoyed all year round and does not need to be transported from southern reions to a shopping cart.
When you visit Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival, you can taste the festival’s own apple sausages, developed by the famous food entrepreneur Claus Meyer in collaboration with the fruit festival, the popular roast pork sandwiches, draft beer, coffee, tea and pancakes.

Admission to Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival is free and you can buy a festival wristband at the festival site or in local shops, which provides access to additional tasting experiences while supporting Lolland-Falster Fruit Festival.
